I downloaded a copy of the Greek New Testament with Strong's Notes and would like to know if there is an application that will allow me to use my mouse to click on the Strong's reference to hear how the word is pronounced in Greek.  My goal would be to learn how to read the Greek New Testament, but I need audible assistance.

After performing a search in my Study Notes, I would like to capture the results in the form of a List.

Hi Mike

Actually, e-Sword has a tool built into it which does exactly that kind of thing. So, with that, this is how you create a verse list within e-Sword.

  1. After having done a search, click on the Add search result to Verse List button in the Bible Search dialog. This will open the Convert Search to Verse List dialog.
  2. Once the Convert Search to Verse List dialog has opened, the top radio button, Create, is activated, and in it you will see a name of the search result already in it. You can leave it as it is or give it a new name. In the Checked ListBox, by default all the verses are checked. You can, if you wish uncheck any verses you do not wish to include in the list.
  3. Once you have completed all that you wish to do, click on the OK button, and this will save you new verse list and close the dialog

OK, now that you have created your verse list, to access it so that you can use it, edit it, and/or update it, click on either the Verse List button on the main toolbar, or in the Bible menu, Click on the Verse List... menu item. This is the actual Verse List tool, of which you can do a lot of things in it. For more information about the Verse List and how to use it, go to Chapter 5 in your e-Sword User Guide.

I really hope this is helpful to you, and the kind of information you need.

Blessings,

In reading these posts, I realize that I have not even scratched the surface in using e-Sword.  I thought I was doing well with it as it seemed to meet my humble needs.

I wish there was a page that discussed what utilities and modules actually are (or can be) and why they are useful to have.  I suspect many of us could take our usage of this great resource to the next level.

Hi,

I'm a 70+ Granny and have been using e-Sword for about 18 months and really love it.  :)  Unfortunately I sometimes would like to add personal notes/comments but have been unable to do this unless I cut and paste into a Word document which has a tendency to be frustrating when you have to flip through other documents/programmes to find what you need. Please help  );

Thank you for an otherwise brilliant study tool.  God bless

Laure

Hi everyone,

My name is Karolus and I am from Indonesia. I started to use e-sword for many years. I like to collect Bible Verses and I built a Macro program for Excel to help me to collect them. Today I've started to share an Add-In for Excel that help users who like to collect  Bible Verses that can be copied to excel. Here is my YouTube link https://youtu.be/7vXsZiRiRDI that show how the program works. Please email me if anyone interested in the Add-In program, help@1core13temp.com. The Add-In for Excel program will be share for free. God bless you. :)

Shalom
Karolus J.
