I have one that someone made (a real stand-alone program that opens and converts and generates an e-Sword module). But someone will not let me distribute it, apparently because some in theWord community will be offended. My rebuttal to that was: "but, it's ok for there to be an e-Sword to theWord converter?"
Hi Josh,
I'm gonna make a recommendation that may just be a tad bit squeamish and upsetting for some. Takes a strong stomach to do something like this. Now, if the bloke doesn't have a copyright notice on the program, then its fair game for anyone and everyone. And if it does, but no license with it, well mate there are things you can do do it which is quite legal.
So here goes:
- Hack into the program to read the code.
- Print out the code or save it as a text file.
- Create your own GUI and give your own unique names to the components you need to use
- Where Variables have to be declared, give them unique names you wish to call them.
- Using the code you hacked as a template, rewrite it in such away for it to be your own code.
- Debug and fix any errors.
- Build and then distribute.
- Finally whatever you do, don't tell the bloke what you did, cos if you do, he just might get a tad sort of upset. Hate to see a grown man throw a hissy fit.
See, more ways in killing a cat than choking it with whipped cream.
Blessings,
