While we're asking and hoping, could we also get a CTRL-F find box (popup) to find text in the Item Viewer screen?

As for dropping tables, if you drop a table, the schema is no longer valid for the module's Bible software...

Josh, I am requesting this feature to use with theWord modules. No problem to drop some of the tables, in fact necessary if you have corrected/changed/added words and there is already a content_search table. It needs to be rebuilt in this case otherwise searches won't find the words.
This is what theWord does when you "prepare a module for distribution", it drops that table so that a smaller file is produced for downloading, then on program start it creates the table.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I'll consider them when I update the program.

I implemented your suggestions.
http://www.biblesupp...sqlite-regexer/

Changelog
  • 1.6 Pressing (Ctrl+F) pops up a find box for both rich text boxes in the Item Viewer. It finds text in the rich text box in focus.
  • Context menu for both boxes in the Item Viewer is updated with Paste, Cut and Copy options.
  • Context menu added for the tables list box with options to drop a table and to compact the database.
Please check if they work properly.

Hi Josh,
Thanks for bringing that one up, mate.

To Mod Creators and Editors,
Just remember one important factor about e-Sword's modules, they all are database files. Do anything that would impinge on the database file, like dropping a table, you good as corrupt the database and make it unreadable for e-Sword. In other words, the database file is as useful as hip-pockets on a T-shirt. Picture taken, got the Picture?! :)

In the next release I should add this warning :)

I keep this utility pinned to my taskbar in Windows 7 and use it on a daily basis almost. Still working great!

Does this work with theWord modules?

Sure. I wrote it initially to edit theWord modules.
It works with any SQLite database.
Any theWord module except bible modules can be edited with it.
But first the module needs to be uncompressed and converted to rtf.
You will be notified if you tried to edit a compressed or rvf theWord module.

Thanks. At some point, I imagine I'll learn to use it. I'm just a beginning "module maker," but I can appreciate the value of a tool like this.
