Hey everyone. I downloaded the Catholic version of the Revised Standard Version Bible module for E-Sword. It used to work fine but when I upgraded to E-Sword 10.0.7 it stopped working. The file is a .bblx file so it should work fine with E-Sword but now I can't get it to work. If I can get any help with making E-Sword recognize this Bible module, I would greatly appreciate it. I have attatched the Bible module file I am using just in case you need to check it out.

Anyway, this is what I did. I downloaded the file and then I extracted the contents of the archive to my E-Sword folder which on my computer is C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword. I think why it says (x86) is because my computer has a 64 bit processor. Also, I am using Windows 7 with all of the latest updates.

Okay, I updated to E-Sword 10.1.0 and the module still does not work.

I just thought I'd note this because someone may notice it. The RSV with apocrypha is available for purchase online. However, this version is not the RSV-CE. I actually purchased the RSV with apocrypha in the hopes that it was the RSV-CE but it was not. I cannot find the RSV-CE online for purchase but I did find it online for free download. It used to work back when I had E-Sword 9.x but now that they upgraded to 10.x it no longer works.

Try it now, it should work.Attached File  rsv.bblx.zip   2.43MB   150 downloads

This tool, SQLite Browser is what you need to open up the module and change the labels.

Fixed it, see attached. New tab and filename is RSV-CE. I guess this should be uploaded, if we don't already have it.

Edit: Larry had the same idea. Same fix, slightly different naming conventions. Both will work. :)

Good day!

I just created an account here to ask you, Josh or Larry, if you'd be willing to also make this change in my bible module, which doesn't work with my e-sword.

If that is fine with you, I will upload the 10 MB file.

Thank you so much,

Philipp

Hello,

What's the name of the Bible module that doesn't work with e-Sword 10?

Thank you Josh for your quick reply.

I actually checked that I would get a reply when there was something now in the thread but that didn't work. I'll check the options again. Sorry for only responding now.

The file-name of the module is "NRSV (New Revised Standard Version).bblx".

Thank you!
