Hi, Roy. I haven't tried to manually save them, except as I described above (by pasting them in a Word document). My User Files Location is c:...documents\e-sword\. Funny thing, though, my previous notes were all under the Topic Notes tab! That's great! I don't know how they got there, but that works for me. I had closed it last night expecting my notes to be gone when I opened it today, but when I opened e-Sword, the Topics tab deployed and my notes were there. Perhaps I should be using that tab instead.

Thanks to everybody for attempting to assist me. I greatly appreciate it.

I don't believe you understand my question. Let's say I open e-Sword and bring several Scriptures over into the Study Notes pane. Let's say that I have an appointment, so I close e-Sword and shut down my computer. When I had Windows 7 (and Vista), I could restart my computer, reopen e-Sword, and the Scriptures that I brought over would still be there. Now, with Windows 10, they are deleted when I reopen e-Sword.

Is there a way to retain what you've brought over like all previous versions?

Your not alone when it comes to saving your work in notes.

After downloading windows 10, I had the same problem.

So just before I left I started clicking on the far-left save I-con. (You know, that little picture of a floppy disc.)

Then Windows 10 and my virus program wiped out my other Lap-top.

So currently we're using my wife's Lap-top.

I do pray this helps.

Virgil

Hello, I am loving E-Sword. Thank you.

I am having the same issue with my journal notes, study notes, and topic notes not being available (saved) after I log out.

I do not attribute it to any Microsoft updates because I can enter and save a note, close E-Sword, reopen it, and the notes will be gone.

I'm wondering if the path to the user notes got confused, and it is opening a fresh instance of E-sword instead of previous saves.

The e-Sword users guide provides detailed instructions on using Journal, Study and Topic notes in e-Sword.

You can access the users guide by clicking help on the menu at the top of e-Sword, this will open e-Sword's help menu. When this menu opens the first item at the top of the menu is labeled "e-Sword User Guide" click this to open the users guide. The users guide is in PDF format as such it will open in Adobe Acrobat,

Chapters 9, 10 and 11 covers using Journal, Study and Topic notes in e-Sword
