Hi Josh,
In our Uploaded Files Content page I notice that there are just the total downloads of files. However these total downloads don't reflect the number of people who actually downloaded a file, and neither do they reflect the number of times they have downloaded a file.

When I click on the Download hyperlink text, I get a dialog showing just limited number of those who downloaded, but I don't know how recent it is, and who was the last Downloader. Information of the number of downloads corresponding to the Downloader isn't shown, so the accuracy of those who downloaded against the number of time downloaded is missing.

I am wondering it is possible of putting up a count of the number of times a member downloaded a file on the View All Downloaders page of the particular file.

Hi Stephen,

I don't understand what you're asking or what screen you're describing.

When I view a file listing, I can click "Downloaders" in the right column and a popup appears (and if there's more than a few, I can click View All Downloaders at the bottom of that popup). That is an accurate list of who downloaded the module(s) in that listing.

HI Josh,
I'm sorry I didn't make myself clearer, so I'll give it my best shot at what I'm trying to get at. I dunno how well I'll do, but anyway, here goes.

When I look at the pages of all the members that downloaded the file, the total number of members doesn't equal the total number of downloads. For example, on the ESIM321.zip (e-Sword Installer Menu) the total downloads (thus far) is 400. But the total number of people listed who actually downloaded the file is a lot less than the the total number of downloads. This seems to indicate that some have downloaded the file more than once, and what I am wondering, is it possible to show the number of times a person downloaded the file. So, where the person's name is on the list, is it possible to have the number of downloads he/she made next to it? This is where the accuracy comes in that I'm talking about.

If the module had upgrades then a member would want to DL the module as many times as there is an upgrade to that module

the DL count is not reset when there is an upgrade and where there are multiple files to DL the count adds each file as a DL

to get an accurate count; count the members on the member list and you will have your accurate count of the DL's 20 members per page and knowing how many times a member DL'd a module wouldn't give a reason for the DL to get that level of accuracy you would have to have a questionaire for each DL

I do see your point in having an accurate count on a modules number of DL's authors(copyright holders) want to know the DL count

I can think one where the requirement for hosting there bible on a web site is a yearly report on the number of DL's

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
