You need to put a hard return(enter) between # of the parameters.

#define title=TITLE

#define abbreviation=ABBR

#define information=Enter Info Here

#define versionHD=4

You set the parameters in e-Sword Tooltip by clicking either Modules HD button or the Modules 4 button (depending on which version of Tooltip you are using). This will open a drop down menu amd the second item on the drop down menu is labeled Module Define Variables click this to open a small sub-menu that lists various module types, from the this list click Commentary module and the Pararameters will appear in Tootlip.

One more thing there is setting in the ModulesHD or 4 drop down menu that is labeled Target=PC to make Apple/Mac and Android modules uncheck this setting

Will this work for iPad too? I’ve downloaded ToolTip but it doesn’t install/initialize on my iPad — I have 100s of notes I want to export and use.

Only works in Windows environment. I have tried to clarify this in the title of the program download.
