Just as the title says. When I create study notes I can find them later by clicking the locate study notes button in the study notes tab, but there is no information icon next to the study notes tab when i go the verse in the bible tab window. Am I missing something here? I'm running the latest version of esword, and windows 10.

Is there a certain way to enter the note? I mean does the note have to be synchronized with the verse or not in order for the information icon to show next to the study notes tab?

I wouldn't think it would make a difference, but without the information icon showing next to the study notes tab it defeats the purpose of taking study notes in the program. Without the information icon showing how is one supposed to remember whether or not they have a note taken for certain verses?

I'm wondering if I took or saved the note wrong for it to not show. The tutorial on the eSword site for study notes and creating your own commentary is fairly vague, and was made for eSword version 6.5.0

I read chapter 10, and I'm not getting the line under the verses that have study notes either, yet when I click the locate study notes button it shows my study notes.

I got it fixed, somehow esword made the default file save location to be in OneDrive, which I don't use. I removed OneDrive and esword, then installed esword again and it now saves files where they are supposed to be saved, and I now get the information icon on the study notes tab when I'm on a verse that has a note attached to.

Below is a video response to that, which I hope will be helpful to you if you ever strike that kind of problem again. And below that video is a video which show how you can change your resource location in e-Sword.

In all events, I trust you find the information helpful to you. And so with that, sit back and enjoy.
