I'm just wondering if it was something wrong with my computer like my IP being blocked or has the site been down since March?

Thanks

Todd

Hey Todd, =

Guess what?! You have accessed it. No kidding, you really have.

As to your question, the answer is "No" on both accounts:

  1. No to being blocked by your IP thingy
  2. No to the site being down.
  3. And just in case to any other thing that you can think of, its No.

The reason for no on all of the above is that you made a post, and I answered it.

As to the previous couple of months of not able to get on here could have just been a bug in the system somewhere, and everything appears to have sorted itself out.

I don't know if this help you or not, or have answered any questions, but (by the looks of it) everything seems fine.

Blessings,

Thanks for the reply. Interesting thing, I wasn't able to access this site all day today. I tried three or four times over a period of a couple of hours. The response was "server quit responding". I'll keep you up to date. I don't remember exactly what the previous responses were and I gave up after a couple of months, but I would not be surprised if they were the same response.

Perhaps you forgot you changed your name from skeeterz71, and so had been using the wrong name to logon.

When I attempt to go to biblesupport.com I can't get there. It has nothing to do with my username. I just get DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. This happens with 2 highspeed providers, COX and not so highspeed Viasat. However, when I use ATT DSL I can get to this site. Go figure.

I've used CMD to ipconfig release my IP and flush my DNS but that didn't solve anything.

Does using a VPN like TunnelBear get you access?

I have and use high speed internet (fiber broadband) at 200mbps download and 100mbps upload, and doing some serious thinking of upgrading that to 900mbps download and 500mbps upload.

Now, just to be fair, I live in a totally different country which things are very different to the way things are over your end of the world like we drive on the left side of the road, whilst you dudes do it on the right side of the road. as to what this has to do with your problem, I have no idea.

At a guess, for something as radical to happen like this, then something had to change. And whatever it was that caused the change is going to take some digging to find out what it is. Another thing is this which raises a question, "Is what you are experiencing with BibleSupport also happening when you go to other websites?"

As I have been looking at what I have just written, I had a crazy thought/idea. So here goes: Turn of your Modem at the wall and leave it off for about 10 minutes. This will clear the cache, and might just do the trick. Another idea is that if you have another PC or Laptop, see if you have issues with connecting Bible support with it. If you don't then you will know that you have an issue with your machine.

Just had another crazy thought. Looks like the issue may lie with your Modem/Router not being able to handle or may not be compatible to handle the speed. Like I said this is just a crazy thought, and so could be totally wrong about it.

Thanks for the reply. I am not having the same issue with other sites. I have rebooted my modem(s) multiple times for reasons other than access to this site. Rebooting modems is just necessary from time to time. I do have this same issue on 2 other computers all Dell. A very perplexing problem.

Hi Todd,

All Dell hey. Hmmm, I seem to get the weird thought that this just may be a Dell problem, in that those PCs seem to be taking issue with this site.

Suggest you either get in contact with Dell or talk to someone who knows about internet stuff and tell them the problem you are experiencing, and see what either of them comes up with.

Anther idea, see if you can grab hold of another brand of computer, i.e., ASUS or something else, and see if the problem shows up on it when connecting to BibleSupport.

Oh yeah, also have a chat with your ISP and see what they may come up with.

You've seriously have come up with a very intriguing  problem that I've never seen or heard of before, at All! So, if you either get or find the answer, it would be really fantastic if you share with us what the cause and the solution or fix was.

Blessings,
