Are there any good books on mercy showing what it is and where it is in the Biblical Law of God.

There are plenty examples of mercy in both old and new testaments but I could not find direct instructions in the Pentatuch.

The law being spiritual, you have to study mercy from a spiritual view to start to get a good understanding of it.
