@coolduck007

Yes there is. Just open up the e-Sword download manager, and in the Bibles page simply click on the ESV and it will automatically download it to your e-Sword folder.

Trust you will find this helpful.

Blessings,

ESV English Standard Version. January 2021. Rick Meyers, the designer of e-Sword, has recently loaded an update for esv.bblx with copyright date 2001, 2007, 2011, 2016 by Crossway Bibles. All rights reserved. This is among the Free Bibles, available in English, on the "Download", "Bible" option, when you Run e-Sword, while the PC is able to access the internet. This will download into the disk drive and path to the ...\e-Sword directory folder which you have linked in the "Options", "Resource Options", "Bible" in the "Resources Location" window of your e-Sword. The default folder is on This PC > Windows (C:)\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword
The latest version of e-Sword can be downloaded from https://e-sword.net [off site] which is version 12.2.0 for the Microsoft operating System, last updated 2020-08-28. Version 13 was released March 2021.

For e-Sword for other operating systems, select the option to "LINKS", and then select the option to the type of variety of e-Sword you need. These have been changed, with different FEATURES, in comparison to the variety for Windows. Read the appropriate notes by Rick Meyers for your variety of e-Sword, on the associated FAQ webpage.
All the coding has been changed from RTF coding, which was used in previous varieties of e-Sword for Windows, to HTML coding. You will find the link to access e-sword for the Apple Mac, (languages English, Portuguese, Spanish, and a new icon), for the iPad, for the iPhone, and since January 2022 a version for Android devices.

Update the copy of the ESV on your e-Sword, close and restart e-Sword to see the new additions.
You can also download additional updated resources using the "Download" menu within e-Sword, for other Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries, Devotions, Graphics and Reference Books.

Microsoft is continuously improving security on their operating systems, changing security options on the PC. This is to overcome previous paths to various security options, which have been used by rogue ransomware and other malware criminals to hack into the PC.
When running e-Sword on the Windows PC, you will be able to access the latest published edition of the e-Sword User's Guide, when you press the keyboard "F1" function key while e-Sword is running. This is in PDF format and is saved on the PC in the following location: C:\Program Files (x86\e-Sword\e-sword_guide.pdf when you download e-Sword from https://www.e-Sword.net/

How do we update ESV once installed?
Thanks!

When you open e-Sword "Downloads" option, look at the "Downloads" section. If the entry date is red, then updates have been included by Rick Meyers, and when downloaded, they will overwrite the previous entry. Close and re-open e-Sword to view the latest information.

Please contact Rick Meyers directly for more details, because the "Bible", "Information" page was only updated to indicate ESV Text Edition: 2011.

The ESV+ edition, which includes Reference notes in pop-up references when you hover your pointer over the references for R (references), and N (footnotes), indicated the following information in the e-Sword option, "Bible", "Information" page: "This publication contains The Holy Bible, English Standard Version®, copyright ©2001 by Crossway Bibles, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers. ESV® Permanent Text Edition® (2016)."

The Crossway website www.crossway.org indicates that they provided 2020 updates for their Android Bible app in December 2020. It is possible that the Committee on Bible Translation did not include changed copyright details. The copyright year indicates the year from which the copyright is applicable, but does not limit the copyright holder from implementing later changes which the publishers consider to be improvements. The books of the Apocrypha are not included in the ESV edition provided by Rick Meyers for e-Sword. The Preface and introductory chapters or sections which may appear in the printed book, either at the beginning, or after Revelation, are not included in the e-SWORD Information page. Read that here: Preface to the English Standard Version | ESV.org = https://www.esv.org/preface/ [off site].
