Need a list of KJV words that are in italics

Hello,

I'm currently updating my Sql Server database used by my website MyHebrewBible which uses the KJV.  I'm updating it with modern words from the UKJV (Updated KJV bible) and in the process I would also like to add words that are in italics (which I currently don't have).

Any idea how I can get this data?

The UKJV module does not have the the italic text however the is a module of the Modern King James Bible or MKJV that does have the italic text.

The module is free can be downloaded using e-Sword's built in downloader. The italic text appears in grey with the bible verses

Are you sure that you want to use this list because italics are used in 14250 verses and 21514 matches in the KJV of e-Sword

I recommend that you RESTART your project with a KJV edition that HAVE italics.

Note that the UKJV replaced the "Thee, Thy, Thou, Thine and ye" by "you" or "your" or "yours" so that the difference between the singular (Thee, Thy, Thou, Thine) and plural(Ye, You,Your,Yours) is lost.

And there are two editions of the UKJV

Mar 2:11 ...yours house. ("I Love Jesus (UKJV)")
Mar 2:11 ...your house.  (I Love Jesus 2000 edition)

The Modern King James Bible or MKJV from Jay P. Green is far removed from the translation philosophy of the KJV.

Also good to know and maybe I can note that somehow in my database, but if I had to choose, I would rather loose that information while gaining a version that's easier to read.

This looks interesting what do you know about this, is it your creation?  How much different is this from the KJV? (I will look at the prefix/intro later)  I started with the KJV because of the Strong's but always wanted to update the English.  Anyway, what I need is a database that can ultimately list each word of each verse.

You used the last edition of the UKJV. So the one that have Mar 2:11 ...your house.

What I did:

I did copy all the 66 books of the Webster Bible( that is a grammar update of the KJV and I know the other differences) with italics include and place the verses in Verse Per Line format.

Then I used ToolTip Tool NT from this website to convert it to e-Sword format that used Sql.

You can do the same with the KJV and copy the Sql data and edit the parameters(book numbers) to your Sql format.

By the way: MySword and MyBible are also Sql based

I had a list of a few hundred KJV errors and used a UK spellchecker to change the American spelling of the Webster in UK spelling and used KJV based Bibles and literal TR  based Bibles to update the language.

Later did I deal with verb tense, voice, mood and word order and italics and more harmonization of the same phrases in Hebrew or Greek.

My Restored Holy Bible edition 10 too different so you can't merge it with the KJV.

I'm fully aware of the topics in your website and deal with it in my translation.

SQL on its own is what all Relational Database systems use, i.e:

MS Access

Oracle

Paradox

SQLite

SQL Server

My SQL

and etc.

SQL on it's own is just an acronym for "Seek Query Language," which essentially is a database programming language of which the above mentioned database systems use. So, with that, you need to be very clear of what SQL based database program you are talking about.

e-Sword uses SQLite, but you don't actually need the full Database program for what you need to do. SQLite Manager or SQLite Browser is sufficient enough for editing records (data/text) in individual cells. Having good knowledge base in both UTF/Unicode and RTF code is really helpful when editing data in SQLite, as these have to be manually done.
