I recently updated a laptop to the latest version of Ubuntu Mate 18.04, then installed e-Sword 11.6.x. Everything worked well, except…

…there are no files available for download. No Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, nada. All the free items I had previously installed were available to me, but nothing else. Today I updated to e-Sword 12.0.1 hoping that would solve the issue, but — still no downoad files!

I've used e-Sword on Ubuntu Linux for several years. It's also running e-Sword on another Ubuntu Mate 18.04 laptop, and all the download options are readily available on that machine. I don't know how to proceed, but I would like to download my purchased Bibles to this laptop, but without download files available, that's not possible.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

FWIW, I uninstalled and re-installed 12.0.1. The installation threw an error message (which I may have missed on the previous installs):

Error 1904: Module C:\windows\...etc. \msxml3.dll failed to register.

We seem to have solved the problem. I uninstalled msxml3.dll from the command line, then reinstalled it from the command line using winetricks.  Problem solved!
