Good day,

I am a Pastor of a congregation in the Philippines and I edited and translated a "TAGALOG" version of a bible and I want it to be uploaded online.

I am hoping that you can help me make this version FREE for my countrymen in the Philippines. This version is in "TAGALOG" language but I change all the bible NAMES in their original Hebrew Names particularly the TRUE NAME of the Heavenly Father and His Son in Hebrew language. This is the first and only version in my language that contains such Name.

I am the sole author and publisher of this book. I have it in libre-office and pdf format. I just want this version available in E-sword like the rest of the bibles.

CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME TO DO THIS? I am willing to pay.

I am attaching the PDF file of the version.

The Almighty Father Yahweh Bless you. I am looking forward to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Roland D Dante

First there is no pdf attached to your comment. Second creating module from your pdf should not be a problem and uploading it to this site  will not be a problem provided there are no copyright issues involved.

Just so you are aware, there is a tagalog bible available as an offiical e-Sword module that can be downloaded through e-Sword itself it is called Tagalog Ang Biblia

Tooltip NT is an e-Sword module authoring tool. You can create e-Sword modules with ToolTip NT.

This 85+ page User's Guide explains, step-by-step, how to make e-Sword modules with Tooltip NT. In the "How to Turn Text into Modules" chapter, simple examples are used with non-technical language. The guide assumes no prior knowledge of Tooltip and introduces basic concepts like Tooltipping. More advanced topics are also explained. A basic knowledge of e-Sword is presumed.

Download the ToolTip User's Guide:

(Pinned in the Tutorials Forum)

I'm trying to use "search" in the group forums to find the answers to the questions I have as a new user to the BibleSupport forum. Please forgive me if I ask something that has already been answered.

Reading the ToolTip User's Guide I do not see downloading instructions. (Did I miss it somehow?)

When I attempt to download ToolTip NT (which I did download all three but could only run one) am I supposed to download all three? Or is each one for a different purpose? If yes, which one should I download? I've attached a screen shot for easier understanding of what my dilemma and question is.

You can access the Tooltip Users Guide after you download and install the program, once you have done this run the program and click Help on the menu across the top of Tooltip. This will open the Tooltip Help Menu the last item on the menu is labeled Tooltip NT 2.10 pdf click this and the manual will open in Adobe Acrobat reader.

You only need to install one version of Tooltip, the developer of the Tooltip program always had the most recent version and two prior versions available for download

Just to add to what Higgsy shared. ToolTip Tool NT (affectionately known as T4) is no longer being being updated due to the death of the Author a few years ago. So, the "latest" version is both the current and last version you will see.

The author of T4 used a relatively unknown programming language, which no one else knows how to use it, hence it is no longer being maintained.

No one has taken over the project to further develop and/or update

I'm sorry to hear about the death of the author of T4. May God watch over and bless his loved ones.

Thank you for sharing with me. Knowing that "T4" is "ToolTip Tool NT" is really helpful. Eventually I'll get up to speed with all the e-Sword and BibleSupport tech lingo.

I've been reading the User Guide I downloaded from this forum and it is helping tremendously. I'm ready to get the T4 (as you say) downloaded and start using it.

In reading the User Guide (and a few posts on this forum) it appears that much of the work can be done on any word processor or even a simple text editor. Is this correct?

If yes, what is the key and absolute necessary component of T4? The "bare bones"? If, say, 90% of the work can be done with a word processor what is that 10% T4 does?

Would you happen to know what programming language he used? I'm just curious. I know some programmers of various different languages, including relatively unknown ones.

Thank you, by the way, to you and everyone who has taken time to read and answer my questions. I know you value your time and I value your time as well!

Tooltip NT is the only program that will generate modules that e-Sword can read.

You can do the work of assembling and editing modules in other programs per say but you need to process modules using ToolTip for proper file formatting. ToolTip has many functions that other word processors and text editors do not have that are designed specifically for e-Sword  module creation

Tooltip was created using a programming platform called APL2000 Rapid Application Development

In my opinion, the most important thing that T4 can do is to create either .RTF or .HTML SQLite database modules from various forms of text, while conforming to the SQLite database structure required by e-Sword.

In my opinion, the second most important thing that T4 can do is read in an existing e-Sword SQLite database module in .RTF format (or .HTML format) and convert the information so it can be edited if desired and eventually output to a SQLite database e-Sword module in .HTML format (or .RTF format).

Its not so much that T4 can "convert" an rtf to html, but rather it exports it. And that is where there is an actual massive difference between converting and exporting from one format to another lies.

For example, Rick Meyers' e-Sword  PC Module Converter tool actually converts an rtf file to html. With that said, there is a massive downside to this tool, which is that it strips font types, size, and styles. As where by exporting, T4 maintains (or keeps) font types, size, and styles.

Moreover, when creating, e.g., an refi file from scratch in T4, the type of font, e.g., Times Roman, size, e.g, 14pts, and styles, e.g., Headers, Subscripts, Superscripts, Foot or End Notes and etc, are all kept when exporting the project to an SQLite Database file for e-Sword.

Trust that you find this information helpful.

Blessings,

FYI (to whom may like to know)

I downloaded the newest file first:

ToolTipTool NT 20200411.exe. ERROR.

I deleted the file. Restarted the computer and tried the next file:

ToolTipTool NT 20191007.exe. ERROR.

Same routine with the third file:

ToolTipTool NT 20190819.exe. SUCCESS!

I'm happy I can at least get this one to work but I'd like to know how to get the newest one working, if it is possible. And if there are benefits. :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sam
