A Windows PC tool for making e-Sword modules.

Tooltip Tool documentation: e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT

NOTE when building a .bblx file.
What you need to do on the last line of text is put an enter for a new line, then put a space on the next blank line and enter for a new line. So it would look like
Rev 22:21 text goes here then [press enter key]

[space here][press enter key]

If you don't do this then the last line in your Bible will be missing. There isn't a problem with .bbli files.

Man I'm so upset right now. I was making a topx and had a lot of work done and all of a sudden tooltip throws an error talking about the textbox control and totally destroys all my work now i have to start over again as it overwrote my saved file and truncated the file up to the point where it threw the error so i lost over half my work...

And what OS is this for? Why do Christians love skipping technical steps to inform the user BEFOREHAND? RRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, it is MS Windows program and 32-BIT!!! Why can't the Christian Community get caught up with the 21st century? Come on guys! You are embarrassing all of us. This post has been here 6 YEARS! I know many of you are actually technicians. So there really is no excuse. Let's start documenting properly, since the purpose is to save time and allow people to decide whether the program is for them or not BEFORE downloading it. And 32-bit? Wow! I don't know anyone with such a dinosaur anymore. Even in Ukraine no one has a 32-bit machine anymore. And Ukraine is about 52nd in the world for GDP. No excuse.

As I said above... we need to get with it and stop making shoddy programs that live in the dinosaur age.

Cannot install on Win 7 even.

As expected.

I was full of hope and then...

Hold on! I sure hope the NT stands for New Testament and not NT like Windows NT!!! :-O

WARNING: This program accesses the camera

"Level"="Suggest"
"Title"="Missing 32bit libgphoto2_port.so.10 library"
"Description"="Lets Windows applications access digital cameras."

The error I get on install of Win 7 32-bit AND on Win 2000 is the same:

      Unable to register the DLL/OCX RegSrv32 failed with exit code 0x3

C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT\TX24\tx24ole24.ocx is the file it's dumping on and of course I meant RegSvr32 , not RegSrv32

Perhaps you would like to know a little history?  e-Sword was a Windows only program.  Tooltip was written in that era.  So yes, it is windows only.  And it does run on Windows 10, which is the latest version of the operating system.  Tooltip uses the same text display engine as does e-Sword, which is 32-bit by the way, tx24ole24.ocx.  Tooltip was written by a person was physician who has no formal training in programming.  He wrote it because there was no other program easily accessible for making e-Sword modules that he wanted to make.  The only reason anyone has the program is just because he shared it with others, at no charge!  There are those that are very technical and the make modules without using Tooltip.  Perhaps you should rather use those.  BTW - you can make Topic Notes directly in e-Sword.  And note, if you want to report an error from the program, it is very useful to report all that let up the error as best one can and the actual text of the errors reported.  Sample files which generate errors is always helpful.  An always always always make backups of all important files.  There are many easy ways to do that if you take the time.

I use the ToolTip under W7 64-bit without any problems. I am unaware of any errors that it might generate. It works well for me, perhaps your OS has issues not pertaining to ToolTip?
