I just installed Esword v. 11, and then installed the ESV--the basic text, in addition to the ESV+ and the maps, all from within the Esword download manager.

I can see the ESV and ESV+. When I display the ESV+, I see the R notes in the tooltips.

Bible verses in the tooltips are underlined, making me think that they are hyperlinks, but when I move my cursor over the tooltip, the whole tooltip disappears. I'm not complaining, I'm just asking---is this normal behavior? Or should those tooltips stay open, allowing me to click on a link?

If you mean the strong's numbers then no they do not stay open once you more your cursor off the number. If you mean verse notes, same thing. You may have notes in your cmtx that go along with the ESV notes.

Is there an ESV with Strong's numbers? I have only seen verse notes, that start with R (for Reference), and a strange numbering system, in the ESV+. I'd love one with Strong's numbers. I keep a copy of the KJV with Strong's numbers in my esword, but it is awkward to use, because I am inevitably drawn to it after using the ESV, and the two don't always align perfectly. :)

The ESV+ modules includes footnote numbering with the numbers in brackets like this [1] which correspond to a commentary or cmtx file that contains all of the footnotes found in the print edition of the ESV

I checked each download page of both the commentaries and Bibles sections. Where can I find the ESV+ for download? My pastor preaches and teaches from the ESV and I'd like to have the study notes. Thanks!

PS: I also looked on e-Sword.net and saw nothing about it.

Earl, if you open up Esword itself, and then go to the downloads option (Bibles), you should see it listed in that new windows that shows you what bibles are available to be downloaded, and which ones are already installed.

Now when you say "Study Notes," keep in mind that this is simply the references that would be at the bottom (or center column) of any reference bible---references to other verses. Not what I'd call "study notes," just so you aren't disappointed after downloading and installing.

Thanks. In that case, it wouldn't really help me so I won't worry about it.

You only missed one step. Look at the top of the window; you will see File  Download.  Click on the word download to start the download. once it is complete you will be told to restart E-Sword to install the file.
