Hey All,

I have ran into an issue where the new version of e-Sword appears to break the file convertor.

I ger the following error...

Attached File  Screen Shot 2017-08-26 at 1.42.06 PM.png   32.29K   26 downloads

This error occurs with both Windows 7 Ultimate & Windows 10 (both running in vm's).

If I downgrade (reinstall) to e-Sword 11.06 the error goes away.

I have sent an e-Mail to Rick on the issue. So....

Keep your install file for 11.06 (or whatever version you are currently running) incase you need to backtrack until Rick can resolve the issue.

Have a blessed day!

Roy

Hi Roy,

Just to set the record straight, e-Sword 11.10 doesn't break the converter program.  It is that the converter program is no longer compatible to this new version of e-Sword because of the new controls/components that have been placed in it. All that needs to be done is an updated version of the converter so that it will be compatible to the new version of e-Sword.

So, with that, keep calm, don't panic, and don't stress out. All is well, and everything is under control as Rick will in a reasonable period of time spit out a new version of the converter.

In  conclusion, sing "Oh Happy Days," and all will feel better. ROFL.gif

Latest news on the Converter.

There's a new version out which is compatible with e-Sword 11.10, and click here to download.

Just to let you know, I downloaded it and tested it, and she works.

In conclusion. It must be remembered that when it comes to compatibility issues, that whenever a new version of e-Sword is released, related tools such as this and macros will be updated. You can take that as a given. So with that, whenever updating e-Sword, it pays to update the related tools at the same time, if one wishes to continue using them.

Blessings,

Yep.... Since I had e-mailed Rick about this issue, he sent me an message yesterday that a new version fixing the issue was now up.

I have not had time to try it yet.... maybe after work tonight....but I am glad to hear that it works.
