Hi there, I saw Patchworkid's Study Bible, and I'm trying to figure out how to get the section headings next to the verse, with the verse on the next line.  I can't see any way to do this in Tooltip except adding a carriage return, but of course, that generates an error.  Must be some secret to this?

Hi Stan,

the way I have my headings is the verse and heading, a soft return that the verse text below the heading.

my next upload will have the headings next to the verse text. Due to the way I am converting MySword,

if you want to change the heading, show me how you want it. I might be able to help you.

Thanks

What I did was open a new BBLX, pasted in Hebrews 1 from ESV, and tried to make a heading that looked like yours in http://www.biblesupp...t&attach_id=738 I tried using a CR to get the verse to the next line like yours is, but that doesn't work. Wondering how you got the verse to the line after the heading?

I just realized you said you used a soft return, looking for that now.

Doing headings in the Bible really takes a bit of fine tuning of formatting.

For the kind of fine tuning I've done in the Maori Bible, in parrticular  Psa 119 you will notice that when there is another heading, there is a paragraph break with no text from the above verse to the next verse (go to the Maori Bible Download page and click on the image to see the example).

With regard to the Psalms which have an introduction, I placed a demarcation between the intro and the main text by having placed an empty paragraph. This really tidies up the formating  and makes readability flow more easily.

If you have the LEB with notes, you will notice it too shows a clear paragraph between the last verse of a paragraph and the heading of the next paragraph.

Just thought I'd share some thoughts regarding the formatting done, and trust it will prove to be of some benefit to you.

Blessings,
