Setup and SFX exes usual default installation paths for e-Sword resources/modules are:
  • Windows 95 60 XP 32 bit is C:\Program Files\e-Sword
  • Windows XP 64 bit, and Windows Vista and 7 64bit is C:\Program Files(86)\e-Sword
  • Don't ask me what Windows 8 will be as I haven't got a clue.
All SFX and installer exes gives the end user the option of where to install the e-Sword resources/modules if one does not wish to install them in the default e-Sword folder.

From my perspective, using either SFX or installer exes are by far a simpler method of installing e-Sword resources. It cuts out the guess work of figuring out whether or not the end user has a file compression program to open and install a compressed file. Moreover, when the default directory is set, it makes it far more simpler to distribute the file. If the end user wishes to set his own path to where he wants to install the files, then that option should be left up to that person.

I trust this information is helpful to some.

Blessings,
Stephen (Php 1:21).
