Hello,

My impression is there are few Hebrew Old Testaments to download to e-Sword X (Mac). I downloaded the standard version available for e-Sword X users (see attachment) but it has no vowel marks. I'm looking for a version with vowel marks and no Strong Numbers.

David,

Here on BibleSupport.com at the following URL, you can download the BHS5.bbli.zip file that is suitable for Apple Mac and has a Hebrew Old Testament with vowel marks and no Strong's Numbers.

This page is not located in the Ancient Bible Text section of the Bible Downloads area.

Thank you for the links to more useful versions of the Old Testament. Elder B., The download and integration into e-Sword X was successful except maybe for the.png files. Could you look at the attachment ? Do I need to manually transfer the .png files over to my e-Sword folder on the Mac ?

Are the .png files necessary to be installed? They will not show up in e-Sword, not being e-Sword module files, and this is why they cannot be imported through the import function. However, if they are necessary for the functioning of the other modules, the location to install them (in case you don't already know) would be ~/Library/Containers/net.e-sword.e-Sword-X/Data/Library/Application Support

This folder is hidden by default, but you can get to it by copying the path provided above, then in the Finder choose from the menu "Go>Go to Folder..." or press Command+Shift+G. Paste the path into the dialog that results, press Return, and, voila, that folder will be opened, ready for you to manually put your stuff in it. Here is where you will find all of the installed e-Sword resources on the Mac.

You do not need to transfer the .png files at all, and they definitely don't need to be imported into e-Sword.  They are just screenshots to give you some idea of what these various resources can do.  On a Windows PC, we just doubleclick on the .png files and view the screenshots of what the modules look like in use after installation.  I don't know how best to view .png files on a Mac.  My original response to your query was intended that you only install the BHS5.bbli file from the BHS5.ZIP file.  The other files will provide extra features as you have seen, but at the time it sounded to me like you weren't really looking for those other features.
