The Module Format Converter for e-Sword?

Hello Everyone,

I would appreciate providing the most accurate way and tools to convert other e-libraries to be compatible with e-Sword for installing and using inside it.

More vividly, I see that the SwordSearcher® and other libaries have more Word of God Expositions to be incorporated and I do not have the programming skills to do it on my own. So, I want to have the PROPER TOOLS to Convert other formats into e-Sword (Current 2020 Version Of course) Modules?

Please consider it SERIOUSLY.

In God's Peace,

Your Brother in Christ, David,

Egypt.

It would be very helpful if you provided some more detailed information regarding exactly what your are looking to convert to e-Sword format.

SwordSearch is a bible software program that must be purchased and based on a review of the modules listed on the software's official website most of those are already available for e-Sword through Bible Support.

You also mentioned converting other "e-libraries" for e-Sword use again if you be more specific as to what types of modules you are looking to convert. The reason for this that there are two different conversion tools available one is for converting e-Sword modules for Windows PC's to e-Sword for Apple/Mac devices.

Another conversion tool is called Simple Bible Reader, this program can convert modules between a number of bible software programs with ease.

Also, following on what Mr Higgins responded to, its important to note that not every file type can be converted for use in e-Sword, so specify exactly what you would like to convert, and let us see what can be done.

In regard to SwordSearcher, They use a totally different database management system to what e-Sword uses, so as to whether or not their resources can  be converted even by Simple Bible Reader, I don't know.

Moreover, to convert from one system over to another system, you have to consider copyright issues. That means it has to be kosher to do it.

Blessings,

On a related note, I use Simple Bible Reader to convert e-Sword modules (9x) into XML files, but the problem is that I lose the verse references for each note.  For instance, in e-Sword if I open a commentary for Matthew 1:1, I see a reference for Matthew 1:1 on the screen.  Hypothetically, I could search for any commentary's notes on Matthew 1:1 by simply searching "Mat 1:1" in a database.  However, when I use Simple Bible Reader to convert e-Sword modules to XML, those verse references are lost.  If I search "Mat 1:1" in the other program I use to read XML files, then I only find hits where "Mat 1:1" appears in the *body* of a commentary.  I can't type "Mat 1:1" and find all commentaries on that verse.  This is a huge problem.  Can anyone recommend a workaround for this?

I've tried using Brent Hildebrand's "Tooltip Tool NT" to "read" the commentary files, but I always seem to get an error when trying to open them that way.  Is there another way around this?

Peace in Christ for You All,

What I want to Convert? Here is MORE SPECIFIC INFORMATION:

(1) I wanted to ask about SOLUTIONS for ABSOLUTELY DIFFERENT THINGS which may see too complex to do correctly or PERHAPS AT ALL.

(2)  I want to convert PDF, E-Pub Books into Modules which are not Available for us in e-Sword. New ones which I will select from my Book Library with Care. They will be placed into the Topics Sections, won't they? I think this is the ONLY PART OF MY QUESTION WHICH CAN BE PRACTICALLY CORRECT?!

How to do this?

How is the Module formatted to be Functional with Clicks and Browsable?

(3) "e-libraries" for e-Sword? I want to convert SwordSearcher® Modules which are not Available for us in e-Sword. Also. I'm dying for the inclusion of Logos Bible Systems Patristic, Linguistic & Historical ones.

It is as it is always with my thoughts; Dreamy and Illogical because it needs to extract the modules out of the running software to be done. That is ridiculous.

For converting files such as PDF and E-PUB for e-Sword use the best option is to use the module creation tool known as e-Sword Tool Tip NT. This is tool used to create all of the different types of modules for e-Sword use. This includes the creation of Topic/Reference materials such as books. There is no quick way to do the conversion but the easiest way is to convert the PDF or E-PUB files converted into text or word processing files. This will allow you to copy and past the text from the PDF or E-PUB files into e-Sword Tooltip NT with ease. From there creating a workable topic or reference module for e-Sword is fairly easy. As being clickable and browse-able, e-Sword Tooltip NT can be used to create text hyperlinks

With regards to both SwordSearcher and Logos some of their modules are under exclusive license to those companies and as such cannot be uploaded here on this site. Converting modules from either of those programs is much more difficult as there is no converter available to do that job.
