This program can be used to organize the e-Sword modules that you have (renaming and reordering tabs; hiding and showing modules, ...)

Features:
1- View all modules of a given category (*.bblx,*.cmtx.*, ...) with file names, Tab Names, Description and display order:
Select "Category".

2- Change "Tab Name" or "Description":
Click on a cell in the table, change the text, then press "Enter".

3- Hide any specific modules:
Uncheck the box before the module name. The module, will be renamed with *.hidden after its extension. To make it visible again check the box.
(Note: Some modules like KJV.bblx, KJV+.bblx,TSK.cmt,strong.dctx) cannot be hidden.

4- Change the order of modules displayed in e-Sword:
Select module with mouse. Use buttons "Move Up" and "Move Down" to change order. Then click "Save Current Order". This will rename all displayed files, by adding a number prefix to the names of the files displayed. (in the form of 01_file.ext)
This will make e-Sword display modules in the current order.

Notes:
e-Sword sorts modules starting from the bottom left.
Some modules can't be renamed (KJV.bblx, ...)

5- Restore original filenames and order:
Click "Restore original filenames and order". This will remove the numbers added to the files of the category displayed, so that modules are displayed in the default order. This button doesn't remove the .hidden extension.

6- Supported categories:
Bibles (*.bblx)
Commentaries (*.cmtx)
Dictionaries (*.dctx)
Maps (*.mapx)
Harmonies (*.harx)
Devotionals (*.devx)
Reference Library (*.refx;*.topx)
Reference Books (*.refx)
Topics (*.topx)
Study notes (*.notx)

Note: to reorder (*.refx, *.topx, *.notx), their file names have to be changed, by inserting a number prefix to them.
These same file names will appear in e-Sword, since there are no independent tab name entries for them.

What's New in Version 1.5 (See full changelog)

  • Some fixes.

I'm running e-sword on a Mac using CrossOver. E-sword has been running great. I downloaded and installed the Library Manager but when I try to run it, nothing happens. Can anyone tell me how Library Manager locates the files? Maybe I can make the connection. Does LM have to be in the e-sword folder? (it is now).

Or is there another program that might work? The same thing happened with Tab Renamer, too.

Thank you.

When i download this, it opens up as empty.  When i use browse nothing happens.  I can't get this to do anything.  I have downloaded and deleted both eze and zip and unzipped and its always the same. It comes up empty.  I'm not a techie.

This is made for e-Sword 9 or 10 and after browsing to the map with the unzipped modules must you swap to commentaries: (this program refresh not automatic).

I do not see this behavior when I change from commentaries to dictionaries the list refreshes

here is some of what Library manger can do

Library manager allows you to see tab name conflicts if there are two or more modules with the same name only one of the modules will display

Library manager can reorder the tabs the way you want them

Library manager will also hide modules (eSword does this also)

Library manager can change a tabs name to whatever your preference is

sorry I just realized that what Library manger original post  has it features listed

here is a video how to for esword library manager

It doesn't seem to be working for Mac

I could not it to work on Windows 7 64 bit e-sword version 10.4. The descriptions would change, but the order of the tabs remained the same. Reverted & uninstalled.

Thank you so much!!  Its not taken me long to accrue loads of files and I could see a disaster coming should my PC need reinstalling.   Ive already found duplicates and am enjoying just being organised. :)

I cannot get this to change tab names in W7. I right-click on the program and choose run it as Administrator, however it fails to update and tells me again to log in as Administrator - help anyone pls?
