Hebrew Study Bible
Interlinear Hebrew Old Testament with Strong's numbers and transliteration

The text is the Westminster Leningrad Codex with vowels and cantillation signs, keyed to Strong's numbers, with interlinear and transliteration.

This is the same database available at http://interlinearbible.org/.
The database was kindly provided by John Isett from http://biblos.com/.

Brackets [ ] signify Ketiv (written).
Parentheses ( ) signify Qere (read).

I suggest using 'SBL Hebrew' font.

Note:
There is a similar module for theWord named 'HiSB' with great features, like toggling the display of Strong's numbers, transliteration, interlinear and ketiv, available at http://www.theword.n...dules&l=english

HSB: Text + Interlinear + Strongs + Transliteration
HSB2: Text + Interlinear + Strongs
HSB3: Text + Strongs
HSB4: Only Text
HSB5: Text + Interlinear + Transliteration

Added a conversion of HSB5 - HSB5(bbli type) for e-Sword 11.00 onwards. If you have the HSB5 remember to delete it.

Maybe one more version, possibly the HSB(T): Text + Interlinear + Transliteration, removing the strong's numbering for alittle easier (concise) reading of the hebrew transliteration... otherwise very helpful resource (HSB).  Blessings & Messiah's Peace!

Check HSB5

HSB5 looks good... thanks and His Blessings be with you.

Truly your work in this translation has set a very high standard for helping us in our scriptures, take nothing away from your work but add the best touch here and there as He moves your heart with this work of His love set forth in your hand. YAHVAH bless through YAHVAHSHUA.

Hi,

Hi do I get to use this wonderful stuff?

May anyone please explain.

Thank you. God bless.

Can this be downloaded onto the ipad app?

When I downloaded this it went into a file that I cannot open. Why didn't it go into the E Sword? That's where I wanted it.

The unzipped files are apparently for UNIX (bblx) and not exe. files for windows version. Wouldn't work  for me.

bblx is the extension for Bible in e-Sword

here is the! module installer for e-Sword

Paces!

Can you do a version "HSB: Transliteration" ?

Ory.

I had a good look at the screenshot of this bible, and I must admit that this is a reasonably good attempt of creating an Interlinear Bible. Of what I've both seen and got, this is perhaps the best attempt thus far.

However, the main issue I have with it, is the readability factor, and like its counterparts it severely suffers in that regard, and it suffers in regard to the "linear" part of it. This is not the fault of the the creator of this resource as the problem is inherent in e-Sword, and a way to fix this issue has not been found; thus begging the question, "How can this be fixed?"

The common factor of Interlinear Bibles in e-Sword, and perhaps the "mistake" that is being made is that of not creating separate lines for each linear part of the text. To show what I mean, see below.

\line Greek or Hebrew Text

\line Transliterate Greek or Hebrew Text

\line Literal word for word translation

\line A particular Bible version/translation

But just this on its own also creates problems due to different screen (monitor) sizes, and also in the way users have configured e-Sword to their personal taste, and so you will not get a consistent linear look of the text. So, in order for the different lines for the categories of text to be able to work for different screen sizes and personal configurations of e-Sword, then each line of text must be broken down to smaller lines in where each categorical line would only contain perhaps at most 8 or ten words per line.

To show what I mean by having the lines broken down even further, the Exegesis Companion Bible is a great example which does this really well in where it has at most on average, 8 words per line (see Screenshot below).

Looking at this screenshot, it is easy to visualize what an actual Interlinear translation in e-Sword could look like. About the only problem I can see with this, is the Strong's Numbering system included in this; however, if the words per line also included the Strong's Numbering system and still kept at a maximum of 8 to 10 words, where the Strong's numbers is counted as a word, then there should (in theory) be no problems or issues.

Blessings,
