In addition to what Josh stated, the JWs are very protective of their proprietary Bible.  By that I mean that they aggressively protect their copyright.  So even if Josh would look past the issues inherent in the NWT and allow the NWT a place in the download area for use by apologists, scholars and others with a legitimate need for such a module, Josh would still have to deal with the copyright problem.  The NWT module exists in other venues and there are other ways to acquire the NWT albeit in different formats.

I do not know if this is a big or small project but I sure wish someone would tackle it.  Volume IV of the Post-Nicene Fathers as it is stored on this site is actually Volume 4 of the Ante-Nicene Fathers.  It would be great if someone would correct that.

Sorry folks, but I feel compelled to resurrect this thread.  Once again I am shouting from the figurative rooftops because I am so happy and joyful.  In the past year I have managed to acquire a 1917 "New and Improved Edition" of the Scofield Reference Bible.  I'm not kidding.  It really says "New and Improved Edition". It is in relative good condition.  The hinges are showing wear but they are still in usable condition.  The spine is separation only in one spot. It is on my list to be repaired.

Also ... tonight I acquired a first edition 1909 Scofield.  What is really amazing to me is that the cost was well within my $US20 budget. The condition is a wee bit rough but I think a judicious application of a razor, some glue and a bit of clamping and I shall have it in passable shape.  I am truly blessed and needed to share the news of my good fortune.  Thanks be to the Father of us all.

I offer my personal opinion which translates into personal practice:  I obey the law, secular as well as the divine, to the very best of my understanding.

I often hear people use Jesus' activities in regards to the money changers as an excuse for their own activity.  But I have yet to find in the scriptures where Jesus broke the law in driving them from the temple.  However, I do find references where by doing what he did, Jesus actually upheld the law.  (See Isaiah 56:7; Matthew 21:13; Psalms 69:9; John 2:17)

If it was against the law and since this event occurred just a few days before his crucifixion, one would think that the High Priest and the Sanhedrin would have used this easily proved charge.  There were many witnesses who were financially impacted.  They were still in the vicinity and I'm sure that the Jewish authorities could have found a few who would have eagerly testified.   But they did not.  Instead they called on false witnesses. (See Mark 14:55-56)

Therefore, I do not believe that Christ driving the money changers from the House of the Lord is a licence to break any law.  That, in my opinion, includes, among others, secular laws concerning copyright.

 For what it is worth, this is how I organize e-Sword on my dual monitor display.  On my left (smaller) monitor, I have my Bible and my choice of Editor, Dictionary or Commentary.  On my right (larger) monitor, I have my reference books and my map/graphics display.  It works very well for me.  Results may vary for those whose needs are different.

I would suggest that you invest in a good, recent Bible dictionary/encyclopedia. That will give you a good overview.  For a more in-depth study, you might try:

According to John 19:19-20 the titulus (plaque or parchment) placed above Jesus' head read "JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS" and was written in Latin, Greek and Hebrew.  Apparently, neither Aramaic (the common language of Judea) or Arabic was on the document.

Wow! Just wow!  I've seen this collection on the shelves of libraries but I did not think I would acquire a copy.  These works are from the greatest minds of the 19th and early 20th century.  Thank you, Josh.  Wow!
