#40516 Hebrew New Testament with Strong's numbers

Posted by dan ramsey on 25 February 2021 - 02:21 AM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

It is now 2021 and the work is not done. I have a Hebrew New Testament copy, as written, with Strong's Hebrew numbers combined with the Old Testament Copy.  I have a left to right transliterated Hebrew Bible with Strong's numbers that is searchable word for word and one that is without Strong's numbers that is searchable word for word phrase for phrase.  However, a translation with Strong's numbers has eluded me.  Biblical Hebrew is an interpretation, a translation.  Hebrew as it is written is open to wider interpretation, but Jesus makes it plain, men do not read or interpret the text correctly without his inspiration. What I have done is still incomplete.  When Paul writes the ministry of the New Testament is not of the letter, I would interpret that as meaning, it is not of the things that are within any mans grasp to change or rewrite. What I have written is more of a descriptive version or view that is neither English or Hebrew.  It is possible to come up with an English text that is readable even in Hebrew word order  but the prepositions are not consistent.  Jesus taught a lot about reading the Old Testament according to his words, according to his teaching.  I have five  different Hebrew New Testament texts and none of them match on every verse.  Old Testament texts match letter for letter. Ancient Greek writing is a direct descendent of the Hebrew writing used for commerce.  Jesus' "I am" statements like; He, Aleph, Tau, first, last, light, way, truth, resurrection, and life as written in Hebrew reveal Him throughout the old testament text.  Even his name written in Hebrew appears three times in the writings of Moses and over an hundred in the OT.  I am sorry I was so bold as to think I would be done in 2018, but I am still learning, and working full time as a security guard.  Maybe we need to ask the LORD for more volunteer scribes.

#39049 Comparing KJV+ with HOT+ in Psalms

I see hsb4wa works in the compare window and I see how the blue verse references make the text agree with the kjv verses.  So what makes one Hebrew file compatible and another not?  and how is your file so small?

#39048 Comparing KJV+ with HOT+ in Psalms

Thank you for your reply.  Forgive my ignorance but I am not understanding SQL browser or blue HTM tags for compatibility.  I have an unpointed Hebrew text for both the old and  new testaments that matches the King James translation verses pretty well.  Will adapting the blue tags make Hebrew text work in the compare window?

#39043 Comparing KJV+ with HOT+ in Psalms

Comparing KJV+ with HOT+ in Psalms where the first verse is included with Psalm notes in the KJV+ but not in the HOT+ causes several Psalms to compare with mismatched verses.  What can be done to make them match.

I apologize for asking for more.  I have tried to build my own module, but I cannot get it to keep its color or even get Hebrew scripture accepted into the compare feature.  Then KJV+ and the NASB+ are beautiful and so is the HOT+ and they match pretty much everywhere except in the Psalms and a few verses in the prophets.

Sincerely, looking for any solution,

Dan Ramsey
