#3830 How to open verse lists in e-sword

Posted by wayneantrim on 17 November 2011 - 02:14 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

Hi.

How do use memory verse lists that you download from this site to e-sword? I've downloaded several of them but can't find them anywhere in the e-sword program. Is there a trick to it?

Thank you,
Wayne

#3655 Scripture Memory Tool in E-Sword

Posted by wayneantrim on 12 November 2011 - 06:54 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is where I should post this, but I was wondering is there a way to set a time limit for the scripture memory tool? For example, can you set a time limit for 2 or 3 minutes per verse then it automatically moves you through a progression of the verses you'd like to memorize allowing you to work on a particular one then going to the next. I'm sorry if this sounds confusing or I'm not making sense. I've used a timer in the past and set it for two minutes and studied one verse until time ran out. I found it helped me. I thought there might be a way to do this within E-Sword.
If this sounds dumb or is silly to you please ignore.

Thank you.

#3556 Are we supposed to report errors we find in modules?

Posted by wayneantrim on 09 November 2011 - 12:34 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

Hi,

I was reading F.B. Hole's commentary on the book of 1 John, chapter 3, and this
1 John 3:1-99 is what I found. The chapter only has 24 verses in it. I'm not sure this is important, or whether or not it makes any difference to anyone. I'm not complaining, and mean no disrespect to anyone. I just thought it odd. Are we supposed to report errors when we find them, and if so to where?

#2816 A couple of questions and perhaps a suggestion

Hi.

I'm new here, so please forgive me if what I'm asking or suggesting has already been mentioned or sounds dumb. But in e-sword 9x is there a way to bookmark in the commentary, dictionary, and editor windows when viewing a certain file? I couldn't find a way to do this, but am still learning. Also, is there a way to hide or delete some of the toolbars when viewing certain windows? For example the editor window when viewing a topic note.

Thank you,
Wayne
