#26449 SPACING in commentary

Posted by Stonepillow on 18 November 2015 - 11:09 AM in Module Creation Tools

The result of Alt+0160.

Windows 10

System locale: Australia

1st lang: English

Place: Australia

Tooltip Tool: Shows me small circle and no line break

e-sword: Shows me blank and line break

The only way is that use DBCS blank and set a half size font.

Could somebody let me know how I can replace single byte blanks to double byte blanks with different font size at once on the ToolTip tool using replace function?

#26448 SPACING in commentary

Hi JPG,

I am always using English locale and getting this problem.

Yes, Ctrl+Shift+Space does not break a line but shows me "?".

Wait...........

Now it shows me blank. I changed the first language to English.

But still it brakes a line.

I maybe understand your situation.

Please type long, at least 2 or more lines, DBCS characters without CRLF.

Then put Ctrl+Shift+Space in the middle of it.

Then, it breakes the line.

It does not matter whatever it is a blank or Ctrl+Shift+Space, if you put a blank, the result is the same.

If the line fits in a line, means shorter than let me say 50 DBCS characters, there is no problem.

Or do you have no problem with long line?

It shows me "?" in the Tooltip too.

Anyway, thank you for your help.

I am sorry but it did not work.

It shows me "?" instead of space as attached.

I use UTF-8.

Let me try the number pad later.

Thanks,

Stonepillow

Goood point.

I will try this later and let you know the result because I have my laptop here and has no

number pad.

I can do that with my home PC.

Thanks.

As I replied, it did not work.

1.Delete blank

   Then the auto break is cancelled and the line is assembled again.

2.Then put SHIFT+ENTER

   Then the line is broke again

Example

XXXXXXXXXXAAA BBBYYYYYYYYYYY

This line is broke at the blank on the tool.

XXXXXXXXXXAAA

BBBYYYYYYYYYYY

Then I delete the blank.

XXXXXXXXXXAAABBBYYYYYYYYYYY

Then I put SHIFT+ENTER

XXXXXXXXXXAAA
BBBYYYYYYYYYYY

If it is broke on the tool, it is broke on the e-sword too.

This is topical SBCS spacing solution.

As DBCS does not use a blank as a delimiter, this spacing function breaks DBCS text "inappropriately".

If there is no turn off function of this spacing, then I need to use a DBCS BLANK and need to change the size to half for each DBCS blank.

Or I leave it as a double size blank.

If you mean SHIFT+ENTER, it did not work.

Hi Tj,

What do you mean by the soft break?

Do you think if I use the "soft break" then the tool does not break the line at the soft break?

Could you give me an idea how I can put the soft break?

I will try it.

Thanks

Is there an option to stop the spacing in the ToolTip Tool?

The spacing splits a line automatically inappropriately as attached.

I could not find the function in HILP.

Thanks

#26408 Commentary is not created with INDEX ERROR

Posted by Stonepillow on 10 November 2015 - 07:39 PM in Module Creation Tools

Solved! Thanks JPG.

I changed the system locale to English speaking country (Australia where I am sitting now) and it worked.

When I type, I need to use Japan as the system locale and Australia when I save the commentary.

It is too complicated and risky but at least I can make Japanese commentary by switching between two locales.

I hope this tool will manage multi system locales.

Thanks

Not Chinese but Japanese because I am going to make Japanese version of commentary.

Do you think it is possible?

#26400 Commentary is not created with INDEX ERROR

Posted by Stonepillow on 10 November 2015 - 03:33 PM in Module Creation Tools

This is original.

define description=DESC

#define abbreviation=ABBR

#define comments=CMTS

#define version=3

÷Matthew 1:1

test

÷Matthew 1:2

Test

÷Matthew 1:3

Test

This is after "Main menu -> Scripture -> tooltip".

#define description=DESC

#define abbreviation=ABBR

#define comments=CMTS

#define version=3

÷MMat_1:1 test

÷MaMat_1:2 est

÷MatMat_1:3 st

It seems that the tooltip has broken the source.

In terms of the abbreviation, if I type one or two verses, there is no error and I don't think the abbreviation is wrong.

Three verses or more causes this error.

As you can see in the attached capture (in the first message), each line has the paragraph symbol at the end.
Isn't it the mark that you expect?
The "set extra mark" just sets additional "÷" and it does not solve this problem.

Anyway, thank you for helping me.

Hi Tj,

Thank you for your reply.

I think your 'chapter' means my verse in my example.

There is CRLF after the last "Test" but I still have the error.

If I add

"÷Matthew 1:4

Test

÷Matthew 1:5

Test",

The error still occurs at the third mark.

Is there any special way to put the "hit enter"?

Thanks,

#26390 Commentary is not created with INDEX ERROR

Posted by Stonepillow on 10 November 2015 - 11:36 AM in Module Creation Tools

If I add three or more marks like below, "INDEX ERROR Unable to precess the following reference: [Blank] Processing aborted." comes when I save it, as I attached.

If I delete the third mark, no error comes.

Am I missing some basic setup?

I am using ToolTip Tool NT V2.61 on Windows 10.

Following it the source.

#define description=DESC

#define abbreviation=TEST4

#define comments=CMTS

#define version=3

÷Matthew 1:1

TEST

÷Matthew 1:2

Test

÷Matthew 1:3

Test

I searched "INDEX ERROR" but I could not find the same problem.

Could someone help me to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Morio
