Jesus Sends the Disciples in the Boat so that He can Pray Alone, then Walks on Water, Peter Gets out of the Boat

(Mark 6: 45-52) (Matthew 14: 22-27, 28-33)(John 6: 16-21)

16, 22, 45Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side of the sea to Bethsaida, three miles from Capernaum. 46 After bidding them farewell, it had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.  For He Himself was sending the crowd away. 23 and after He had sent the crowds away, (15) Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew and He went up on the mountain by Himself alone to pray. 47, 19, 24 The boat was already a long distance from the land, them having rowed about three or four miles, 18, the sea began to be stirred up, for the wind was contrary, a strong wind blowing, and the boat was battered by the waves in the middle of the sea. 25, 48 Seeing them straining at the oars, for the wind was against them, at about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea; and He intended to pass by them. 26, 49But when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea and drawing near to the boat; they were terrified supposing that it was a ghost, and cried out in fear, “It is a ghost!” 52for they had not gained any insight from the incident of the loaves, but their hearts were hardened. 20, 50, 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.” 21 So they were willing to receive Him into the boat, 28Peter said to Him, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32, 51then He and Peter got into the boat with the disciples, and the wind stopped; 33 and they were utterly astonished, And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!”, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.

Example:

On Another Sabbath Jesus Heals A Man’s Hand (Luke 6: 6-11) (Mark 3: 1-6) (Matthew 12: 9-14)

6On another Sabbath He entered the synagogue and was teaching; and there was a man there whose right hand was withered. 7The scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He healed on the Sabbath, so that they might find reason to accuse Him. 8But He knew what they were thinking, and He said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and come forward!” And he got up and came forward. 9And Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to destroy it?” 10After looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he did so; and his hand was restored. 11But they themselves were filled with rage, and discussed together what they might do to Jesus.

1He entered again into a synagogue; and a man was there whose hand was withered. 2They were watching Him to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. 3He said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and come forward!” 4And He said to them, “Is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent. 5After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored. 6The Pharisees went out and immediately began conspiring with the Herodians against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

9Departing from there, He went into their synagogue. 10And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—so that they might accuse Him. 11And He said to them, “What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out? 12“How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” 13Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand!” He stretched it out, and it was restored to normal, like the other. 14But the Pharisees went out and conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

This book will amaze you in that I took a step further in the combining of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. I encourage you to look up the passages yourself and see for yourself the amazing Word of God!

Example:
-Parable of the Sower and the 4 soils
-First soil: 3 2And He spoke many things, He was teaching them in parables, saying to them in His teaching, “Behold, the sower went out to sow5his seed; 4and as he sowed, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled underfoot, and the birds came and ate them up.
-First soil explained 11“Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.14“The sower sows the word. 15“These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; 19“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, immediately Satan, the evil one comes and snatches away the word that has been sown in his heart, 12 so that they will not believe and be saved. These are the ones on whom seed was sown beside the road.

-Second soil: 5“Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. 6“But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away,6 also because it had no moisture.
-Second soil explained: 16“In a similar way20“the one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21yet he has no root in themselves, 13they believe for a while, and and in time of temptation, or when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away.

-Third soil; 7“Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out, 7and it yielded no crop.
-Third soil explained: 22“And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, 19but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, 14and pleasures of life, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful and bring no fruit to maturity.

-Fourth Soil: 8,8,8“And others fell into the good soil and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced, some a hundred times as great, some sixty, and some thirty. As He said these things, He would call out 9 “He who has ears, let him hear.”
-Fourth Soil Explained: 23,20, 15“And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and understands it and accept it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth with perseverance, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.” (thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold) Mark has them ascending, Matthew descending

-Casted Seed: 26And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; 27and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know. 28“The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. 29“But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
-The seed is not designated as the sowers’s own seed as it is in the first parable as the seed being Jesus’s seed, so this is just a Believer sowing the Word of God into soil “hearts” for Him. We all can be used by Jesus if we permit Him, either through witnessing, or our walk, but it’s not our power or eloquent words that bring about the change in someone’s heart but only through the conviction and power of the Holy Spirit. We can only understand that Jesus Himself can bring forth crop from a changed heart through the leading and transforming power of the Holy Spirit which will work in a true Believer’s heart until a mature grain, mature Believer, can be harvested.
-the soil would be the changed heart in a Believer

This is the Gospels of John, Matthew, Mark, and Luke Combined

Example:

Parable Of The Sower (Luke 8: 4-8) (Mark 4: 1-9) (Matthew 13: 1-9)
4When a large crowd was coming together, and those from the various cities were journeying to Him, He spoke by way of a parable: 5The sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled underfoot and the birds of the air ate it up. 6Other seed fell on rocky soil, and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 7Other seed fell among the thorns; and the thorns grew up with it and choked it out.8Other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great.” As He said these things, He would call out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

1He began to teach again by the sea. And such a very large crowd gathered to Him that He got into a boat in the sea and sat down; and the whole crowd was by the sea on the land. 2And He was teaching them many things in parables, and was saying to them in His teaching, 3Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow; 4as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up. 5Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil. 6And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” 9And He was saying, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

1That day Jesus went out of the house and was sitting by the sea. 2And large crowds gathered to Him, so He got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd was standing on the beach.3And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow; 4and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. 5Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. 6But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. 8And others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. 9He who has ears, let him hear.”
