#36818 E-Sword 12.1.0 Released 10/4/19

Posted by BH. on 20 October 2019 - 07:28 AM in Announcements

Does e-sword version 12.1.0 -- or any other update after version 10.4 -- fix the "highlighting" errors that occurred when previously updating from 10.4 to 11.0 or such? Due to the "highlighting" problem with periscope or such, I have reverted to still using e-sword version 10.4 until I know this highlighting problem is fixed. Thank you.

You can use 12.1, just turn on or  off pericopes.

There is a mathematical solution to the pericope problem.  Highlighting will always be a problem unless this is fixed.  If you highlight in other versions with pericopes turned off, then turn off pericodes.  Don't mix highlighting in e-Sword/PC with pericodes on at times and off at times.  The problem is made worse by using custom pericodpes IF a mathematical solution were made.  Pericodes are in the SQLite database, "headings" with the language tack on such as English "headings.en"

#36768 e-Sword HotKey - short demonstration

First, using the e-Sword Macros, you do not need the Bible.CF file and you can use any Bible that is installed in e-Sword, but it is now slow.  The Bible.CF can be updated, but you need access to the BBLI file for that Bible.  MacOS is the easiest way to get the file.  Do you have access to that?

#36638 PDF to E-Sword

EPUB files are zipped HTML.  I've "unzipped" them and read the HTML into T4. Change the .epub extension to .zip, and try opening them.  You may see XHTML/XML files can be opened in T4. YMMV

#36585 Message Module

Posted by BH. on 01 September 2019 - 04:54 PM in e-Sword Questions & Answers

Has any one had the below problem in their Message Module? See verses 15, 16. Is it a fault or has my module been corrpted? Recently update to s-Sword 12. I have contacted eStudySource for an answer but would like to hear from others.

(Eph 6:13)  Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet.

(Eph 6:14)  Truth, righteousness,

(Eph 6:15)  peac

(Eph 6:16)  faitng

(Eph 6:17)  and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon.

(Eph 6:18)  In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

MSG works fine here in e-Sword 12

#36494 e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT

The only way I found to resolve this problem, was to reinstall my operating system.  It appears that a previous update to Windows caused this issue.  I know this is a drastic step but after trying everything else this seemed to be my only option.

Why is this then not a universal problem?  Hm...
