A Greek-English Lexicon by Liddell, Scott, Jones, Keyed to Strong’s numbers

This module is Liddell Scott Jones Definitions that correspond to Strong’s numbers LSJ being 50,000 plus definitions and Strong’s numbering being 5624 ish there are allot of definitions that are not used

a. Greek words that are capitalized are not defined ( there are exceptions)

b. Compounds, adverb, neuters. etc if no Definition was found I incerted the strongs number to the compounds, adverb, neuter’s etc.

when a definition was not found and it was not a. or b. I entered “No Definition Found”

Please also download the companion file LSJ-Info.TOPX it contains the abbreviations, bibliography, etc A abbr A Authours etc.

First, let me thank you for your work on this.  Second, an issue I have is that is numerous definitions, some Greek letters (in bold red in the example below) are replaced by a box in e-Sword (though they appear correctly when copied and pasted, as below).  Any idea what, if anything, I can do to correct the display?

When boxes appear in esword where Greek should be this usually means that the font that is selected for Greek does not contain the character so esword displays a box in its place

change your Greek font to Titus cyberbit basic

I have not used this much, but I have not found definitions in italics as you find in the book itself or on online resources. It is hard to use, first not knowing Greek and trying to distinguish phrases in which a word(s) are the definition and the other word(s) are definitions of another Greek word. That is, which is the definition and which is not? I hope this can be fixed.

Excellent resource. May YAH bless you! Thank you!

Not all computers understand "EXE" files

This is not showing up in my E-Sword. Any help?

any way I could get a copy not pass word protected?  I would like to convert it to run in The Word Bible Program.  The converter will not run it stating it is password protected?  mjacques41@gmail.com

In Mt 19:4 ανεγνωτεG314,

dble-click only returns:

G314
αναγινωσκω
From G303 and G1097

Then search for the textual or lexical Gk form or the Strong's #  in LSJ+STR-Key search all come up empty.

Surely this repeated NT term is treated in LSJ. What am I missing to find it?

[Curious to check if PLGNT def. as "read ALOUD" (as, for Jews, in public reading of scriptures in Jewish temple and synagogue), rather than as usually translated, "read" can be established in other Greek literature.]

TY for any assistance.

I have tried converting the file to "The WORD" Bible program and it says it is password protected.   what can I do.  mjacques41@gmail.com

Change the file extension to lower case and it will work
