UPDATE: I have made several corrections to the text of "The Disciple's Bible", and renamed and uploaded it as "The 2014 Edition of the American Standard Version of the Holy Bible (ASV-2014)".
I am currently working on the final draft of the Disciple's Bible with the New Testament following, as its main text, the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece (28th Edition) instead of Scrivner's Textus Receptus; however I intend to continue to remain eclectic throughout by adopting readings from various sources such as the Septuagint (OT), and the Majority and Received texts (NT). I will also not be including any of the Apocryphal books in the final edition. I will be using "LORD" in all caps instead of "Yahweh" in most places, and updating many words throughout. If you enjoy the current edition of the Disciple's Bible found on this page please download it as "The 2014 Edition of the American Standard Version of the Holy Bible (ASV-2014)" here: http://www.biblesupp...bible-asv-2014/
The Disciple's Bible
Based on the 1901 American Standard Version's Old and New "Testaments". The Deuterocanon is based on the 1894 English Revised Version's "Apocrypha".
The Old Covenant portion of the Disciple’s Bible follows the Hebrew Masoretic Text; the New Covenant portion of the Disciple’s Bible follows the Greek Textus Receptus (Scrivener 1894); the Deuterocanon portion of the Disciple's Bible follows the Greek and Latin texts: however, in the Disciple's Bible translation, I have adopted some readings from other ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin authorities that are based on either much older manuscripts and/or readings that enjoy much more support from a greater number of witnesses.
THE AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION THE HOLY BIBLE CONTAINING THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS TRANSLATED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL TONGUES BEING THE VERSION SET FORTH A.D. 1611 COMPARED WITH THE MOST ANCIENT AUTHORITIES AND REVISED A.D. 1881-1885
Newly Edited by the American Revisory Committee A.D. 1901

Hi Pat,
I've just downloaded it, and didn't have a problem. Must be the way I held my nose or something like that. Give it another go and see if it works.
Blessings,
Stephen (Php 1:21).

@ Cobb78: Yes. This is mt translation based on the 1901 ASV. The New Testament follows the Greek Majority Text, and I have utlized Yahweh in place of Jehovah in the Old Testament.
Is it common for those who do the conversion of these documents to make ad hoc changes to the literature they are working on? Is this common practice?
I use these references to make comparative studies of translation and Bible Truth, and I'm now wondering how reliable any of the resources from here are right now. I don't want to establish a reference based on people's opinions. I would like to determine accuracy based on harmony with revealed Bible Truth and not on the basis of misinformed gripes.
I'm very concerned, how true to the original (i.e, without deliberate adulteration) are the references on these forums, please?
Every Bible translation involves opinion on what manuscripts to translate, what words to use, and how to relate dead language and/or cultures to the English equivalent that makes sense to us based on our language and understanding of words.
Sorry for my ignorance-I'm just an old man looking for a reliable text. My readings suggest this version was rooted in the AV. My reading states that the NT is based on Westcott and Hort 1881 and Tregelles 1857, not the TR.
