The Garner-Howes Baptist Commentary of the Whole Bible (Update 1.2)
The Garner-Howes Baptist Commentary of the Whole Bible was originally published as a 23-volume set by Albert Garner (principal author) along with J. C. Howes, G.F. Crumley, and Eugene Garner in 1985. The Blessed Hope Foundation has released this digital edition into the public domain and has been converted to e-Sword format by the editor of the Baptist Training Center (Danny Jones) via s-Sword Tooltip Tool NT.
Interpretations are written in the language of the common man, designed especially for Bible teachers, Sunday School teachers, laymen and ministers who desire to know the meaning or find an explanation on any particular passage.
All interpretations are based on:
1. the root meaning of the words
2. the subject matter considered
3. the contextual setting of the subject matter and time element considered.
The authors of this commentary are conservative, independent, landmark, missionary Baptists.
What's New in Version 1.2 (See full changelog)
- Adds Missing Commentary for Matthew chapters 15-28.
- Corrects and updates tooltipped verses
- Other minor error corrections
- Added OSX version for e-Sword HD and LT
Thank you for the head's up on the CMTI version of the commentary. The tooltipped verses are working fine in the PC version (CMTX file). As I do not have a Mac, I haven't been able to error check the .CMTI version. I will look into it and hopefully correct any errors with an updated version.
Update 1.2 has added the missing commentary for Matthew 15-28.
Thanks so much for this needed update. Sorry I already sent note off to e-sword feedback but will try to apologize there too. Need more Missionary Baptist works and my homemade additions are ... sad. This update appears to work fine now. So GOD bless and keep up the good works. ~esn

Looks like the verse references have not been tooltipped correctly in the first four books of the OT. It is easier to see this if you load just the .cmti module in a PC.
