All previous Biblical Hebrew lexicons have provided a modern western definition and perspective to Hebrew roots and words. This prevents the reader of the Bible from seeing the ancient authors original intent of the passages. This is the first Biblical Hebrew lexicon that defines each Hebrew word within its original Ancient Hebrew cultural meaning. One of the major differences between the Modern Western mind and the Ancient Hebrew's is that their mind related all words and their meanings to a concrete concept. For instance, the Hebrew word "chai" is normally translated as "life", a western abstract meaning, but the original Hebrew concrete meaning of this word is the "stomach". In the Ancient Hebrew mind, a full stomach is a sign of a full "life". The Hebrew language is a root system oriented language and the lexicon is divided into sections reflecting this root system. Each word of the Hebrew Bible is grouped within its roots and is defined according to its original ancient cultural meaning. Also included in each word entry is its alternative spellings, King James translations of the word and Strong's number. Indexes are included to assist with finding a word within the lexicon according to its spelling, definition, King James translation or Strong's number.

I think the fonts are these here: http://www.mechanica...g/2-esword.html

Can you please let me know the name of the font I need to view this in esword or point me to the download? The link by Fireandsalt is a dead link.

Went to this site http://www.mechanica...rg/esword.html  and got the fonts [Hebrew fonts] but eSword does not see them.  Checked and they are listed in my fonts list for Win 7.

Suggestions please.

Is this eSword release the same thing/book as this mySword version, please? http://www.biblesupp...ysword-version/ If not, is there an equivalent for eSword, please?

i think i need a font to see it correctly has anyone got a solution?

Thanks this worked for me. I clicked on your link that says Hebrew. I downloaded the font files to the esword folder, because for anything I want to work in esword doesn't work if it is downloaded elsewhere). I clicked on the font flies it showed what the font looks like and pressed install button at the top (I am using windows 10). If that doesn't work try opening the font settings in control panel and opening the file from there.

The font link worked for me as well. It went to my download folder, I right clicked, hit "extract", it gave me the copies, and I dragged them into Fonts folder. Then I just clicked off the lexicon in e sword, and back on, and it was fixed. I'm using Windows 10.

How can I download the ancient hebrew lexicon bible dictionary on a macbook? It says it is not supported when I attempt it.

I used to have this and the special fonts that went with the AHLB worked fine, but now they just display like dingbats. How do I restore the special font for this?
