Can you tell me something about this author? I've never heard of him.  For example, his church affiliation, what he believed about salvation, etc...

He was a Christian, a member of the church of Christ.  His belief on salvation was that if the Bible said it saved/justified you, then it saved/justified you.  That would include belief, confession, repentance, salvation, obedience, doing God's will, works, etc...

Pretty generic answer on the last half, but I know where you're coming from.  Thank you.

baptism was supposed to be on that list, but I typed "salvation" instead.  sorry, hadn't had my soda for the day yet.

His belief was that all of the things that the Scriptures said saved/justified someone were requirements - that you couldn't pick some and leave out others...you had to submit to Christ in all of them in order to take hold of the salvation He offers.

For clarity's sake - this resource could/should be tagged "Church of Christ"
