Conrad Bowman was born November 22, 1934, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, the oldest of seven sons. At the age of seven years, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. As a young man, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he met and married Norma Yeary on November 16, 1957. They were blessed with one daughter, Brenda. Employment with several medical companies took him and his family to Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, California, and finally back to Texas.

He served as an elder and Bible teacher in churches in Jackson, Mississippi, and Walnut Creek, California, and he taught several Bible classes at his church in Houston.

Beginning in the early 1970s, Conrad began to focus primarily on the dispensational interpretation of Scripture and studied extensively the writings of John Nelson Darby, Harry Ironside, William Kelly, Robert Anderson (the head of Scotland Yard at the time), John Bellet, William Hocking, William Sperry Chafer, C.I. Scofield, Miles Stanford, and many others. Conrad knew and exchanged correspondence with Miles Stanford for a number of years.

In the latter years of his life, Conrad and Norma were the owners of a medical supply business in Houston. In 2004, Conrad underwent surgery and treatment for colon cancer, and continuing health problems resulted in the closing of his business which he had enjoyed so much. On February 14, 2009, Conrad was called home to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and he is now with the Lord. He and his wife Norma were blessed with fifty-one years of marriage.

Conrad Bowman (1934-11-22 to 2009-02-14) explained the Bible from the standpoint of a dispensational interpretation of Scripture. The Dispensational interpretation of Scripture is an outgrowth of the writings of the Plymouth Brethren. The Plymouth Brethren flourished from the 1820s in Ireland, and in English speaking countries, with mission activity to other countries. In its most fundamental sense, dispensational interpretation of Scripture is founded on identifying the particular people or group to whom the message was given, and the time when that message was given. This applies the instruction to Study Scripture, and to rightly divide the Word of God. For example, the Sermon on the Mount was given by Jesus to Jews living under Law prior to Pentecost. On the other hand, Paul’s writings were given to Jews and Gentiles alike living under Grace after Pentecost. By so dividing the Word, one can see that the promises to the believers living under Law were earthly, and the promises to the believers living under Grace (and indwelled with the Holy Spirit) were and are heavenly.

If you die, you can restart by starting the game over. In real life, if you die, you are dead until the resurrection. What experience did you then have to offer to Jesus when he takes over the world?

Are these really suitable games to spend your time with? Remember, we ought to be learning how to assist Jesus when he returns. He is looking for people who have learned how to be a good leader. So, spend time learning how to do the planning for towns, cities, counties, and countries.
When Jesus returns, he needs experienced leaders who know how to do the planning for communities who live in rural areas. Gain experience of how to restore the land, how to fix the environment, and how to resolve social problems. Learn the best ways to work with groups of tens, hundreds, and thousands, of men, women, and children, animals and plants, who will eagerly help you to run multiple cities, regions, and countries. Read your Bible to discover which strategies worked, and which failed, in the past.
