The source text is formatted with English versification in mind.

I do not know the history or translation methodology behind it, although it appears to have been translated from the KJV into Haitian Créole. For those of whom Haitian Creole is the primary language, you may find the Haitian versification more natural ("BibLa.BBLX"). For those who have some other language as their primary, the English versification modules (HCV.BBLX) may make more sense.

The HCV tends to have "extra" verses in Psalms, where headings such as "A Psalm of David, when he fled..." is treated as verse 1, so 59 chapters in Psalms are one verse "longer" than European editions, and 4 chapters in Psalms are two verses "longer." This is addressed in by combining v1 and v2 in one verse for English parallel study usage. For examples, see Psalm 3 and Psalm 51.
