Description below written by Josh Bond for the e sword version:

This brilliantly written work contains 107 of the most detailed Bible character studies ever published. Going beyond a simple background sketch, Hastings provides a complete and accurate theological and historical portrait of each person. Drawing from the Bible and other historical sources, this work discusses everything you ever wanted to know about the Bible figures listed below.

Clearly well read with other notable authors and works of his day, Hastings works cited includes the Pulpit Commentary, Expositor's Bible Commentary, F.B. Meyer, MacLaren's Expositions, and nearly a thousand others. The material is suitable for a lay person's study of the Bible, the serious Bible student, or preachers looking for sermon material.

This 6 volume set covers 107 Bible characters in 3,100+ printed pages—producing some 690+ module topics! The module is structure with an easy to navigate hierarchy (see image at the end of the listing) of Bible figures and sub-topics covering every known aspect of their life. Since e-Sword requires numbers for proper display order, I also included a version for TheWord that does nothave the display numbers (because if you don't need them, you don't want to look at them). I liked this set so much that when presented with this text, I decided to stop work on the large commentary I'm working on produce this module.
