e-Sword Version:

Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew Lexicon, Thayer's Greek Definitions, and the Strong's King James Concordance with TVM. This module works with any Bible with Strong codes. This module works best with the e Sword KJVTVM Bible available for download at this site.

This TWM dictionary module combines the following works:
Brown-Driver-Briggs -> Hebrew word definitions
Thayer - Greek word definitions
Strong's definitions
KJC - King James Concordance
TVM: Strong - TVM info and explanations OT H8675-H8853 / NT G5625-G5944

Thanks to rms from theword.net forum for making this module for theWord. I only migrated it to e Sword from theWord.

After downloading, this addon doesn't install like the other ones I downloaded. How do I make it work?
In e-Sword 10 Original Greek doesn't come out right, instead I see there number codes like this - Original: αu787 ́u956 εu964 ρu959 ςpar -
- Original: ἁδρότης
- Transliteration: Hadrotes
- Phonetic: had-rot'-ace

As the example above shows, I think the Greek in this file looks ok on my computer in e sword 10x, although I do not know Greek. I am not sure what is wrong on your computer, hopefully someone will be able to help.
If you install the "e-Sword Module Installer" first. Then, esword will identify the file extention of this dictionary and you can double click, install and you are done.

I have the same problem with the hebrew and greek fonts. Strange, the "normal" BDB shows the Hebrew correctly. Any help?

Please update the module so that it uses the e-Sword user font settings rather than the fixed font settings. The same request for all module makers: whenever possible please make your modules so that they use the font settings each user sets, rather than fixed fonts set by the module maker. This ensures a unified appearance across e-Sword for each user.

The way it is now with so many modules having so many different fixed font settings e-Sword looks like an unprofessional "container" for mis-matched modules. Why isn't it possible for all module makers to agree to this basic guideline to prevent this?

Son Seeker,

Many module makers did not know how to do this until recently. This is now being followed by the majority of module makers. There are a lot of modules out there that do not conform and that will continue to be the case for some time (unless you want to volunteer to fix them :).)

Topics are an exception as the default font does not work for e sword, but it has to specified in the module.

Blessings,
Peter

this download doesnt work for me

this download doesnt work for me

You'll need to be more specific, like:

Version of e-Sword are you using?

Were you able or unable to download the zip file?

Were you able to un-zip the file/module to the correct directory?

Did you restart e-Sword after it was placed in the correct directory?

This download is installing into my doc file and not into e-sword. I used the module installer and I was also able to un-zip the file. But it continues to go into my doc file. Any suggestions????
