THE ARK OF THE COVENANT:
ILLUSTRATIVE OF
GOD'S PRESENCE WITH HIS PEOPLE
.

BY: JAMES HARRINGTON EVANS

About the Author
James Harrington Evans, 1785-1849.

James Harrington Evans was educated at Wadham College, Oxford. Being ordained in 1808, he remained in the Church of England until 1815, when he seceded and became a Baptist minister. He was the minister of John Street Baptist Chapel, Grays Inn Road, London, for many years.

His "Memoir and Remains" were published by his son in 1852. In addition to various prose works, "Dialogues on Important Subjects", 1819, and "Checks to Infidelity", 1840, and others. He also published "Hymns, Selected Chiefly for Public Worship" in several editions over many years.

About This Book
Evans traces the Ark of the Covenant through the Bible. This well researched and thorough analysis includes the different places, events, and circumstances surrounding the ark of the covenant. Evans also uses information outside the Bible about the Ark of the Covenant. The author also notes the ark as the location of the very presence of God on earth.

Interestingly, Evans draws practical lessons that Christians can apply today from the study of ancient Israel and the Ark.

This looks like a very interesting work. The Ark was a pivotal part of the spiritual history of Israel and remains important to us today. It's significance is greatly overlooked.

I look forward to the content of this module.
