i have downloaded this file and love the hsitorical background regardless of what others "opinions" are. one problem i have is that in the reference version there are many places that have links to .jpg files of pics or graphs that are supposed to be in this work, yet nothing comes up when you click on the various links and the folder the files are supposed to be in does no exist! does anyone else have the same problem?
and as for woodrow wilson, i also have his ORIGINAL paperback book, Mystery, Babylon Mother of Harlots. and i find it a sign of the times we are living in that this man has "recanted" everything he formerly wrote in this book and has apperantly fallen over to the dark side and now worships the same "beast" he formerly warned the readers about!! supposedly this is because of his unconsecrated (in the TRUTH) wife who has led him astray! or perhaps he and his family was threatened by the murderous jesuits (a practice they use as often as the "leaden bullet, the poinard, and the poison cup). Hislop wrote his wonderful work in 1853 not more than 9yrs after the Great Awakening.
Absolutely excellent and priceless resource. Extremely well documented. The author presents undeniable solid proof for every claim. Very well researched and well respected upon real truth seekers.

It's important to note that Hislop's theory of Babylonian Mystery religion, being created by Nimrod or his wife (supposedly Semiramis), is NOT historical or biblical. The verses about Nimrod number only four, they are: Gen 10:8-9, 1Chro 1:10 & Micah 5:6 and the context will be found in those verses. Semiramis is not mentioned in the Bible and was born far to late to be Nimrod's wife...or mother and theories painting her as Astarte or Ishtar are likely false for the same reason she could not be Nimrod's wife, she was born far to late and those deities were already created.
Hislop's claims continue to be circulated in Jack Chick's media.
Ralph Woodrow, a former supporter and expander of Hislop's theory, believed that Hislop was an exceptionally poor researcher who "picked, chose and mixed" portions of various related or unrelated myths from many different cultures.
New Age Author and conspiracy theorist David Icke also incorporates Hislop's claims about Semiramis into his books, claiming that Semiramis also had a key role in the Reptilian alien conspiracy that he asserts is secretly controlling humanity.
Does this mean super-veneration of Mary is legitimate? NO. Does this mean the Papal position of authority is legitimate? No. Just remember the reason why it's called Babylonian "Mystery religion" is because it was a mystery; that means especially during the time of Hislop.
