What's New in Version 2 (See full changelog)

  • 2020-05-20 Initial version
  • 2020-05-30 Fixed "Version" value in the file. Made it always 4 to work with PC e-sword.

Acts of the Apostles. Translated on the basis of the Common English Version (that is the Authorized - King James - Version). With Notes. Copyright © 1858. New York: American Bible Union. This has been reformatted from an archived copy in PDF format, so is no longer in PDF format. This can be read from e-Sword in the Bible option, for both Microsoft and for Apple MAC computers.  The file is ABU-Acts.bbli.
However, the option > Bible > Information; is totally blank, and was not loaded with the source information.
The option "Parallel" does not find the ABU-Acts file. I am not running from C:\\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword but on another drive and path ...\e-Sword folder. Please will someone also check the format for colors and <span style=font variant:small-caps;">The</span> in the first verse in chapter 1 of Acts, and further.

It just needs the version in the details table changed from 1 to 4, as this does not represent the version of the resource but the version of the content to be rendered, hence the tags not being rendered. Version 3 is rich text format, Version 4 is html

Reply to JPG : Acts of the Apostles, American Bible Union version (1858). The "Information" tag in e-Sword provides a pop-open window in which the name of the source book, and when it was copyrighted and printed, is provided, for each module type. Thus I expect to see:  "Acts of the Apostles. Translated on the basis of the Common English Version. With Notes. Copyright © 1858. New York: American Bible Union." Then the programmer could mention where his source was to be found. And where to find all the Notes as well. All details of copyright could also be mentioned there. All the footnotes and commentary notes, could be provided in a parallel file, like for the KJV-Notes (KJV-Margin.bbli); or E.W. Bullinger Companion Bible Notes.cmtx;  in the Commentary module, as ABU-Acts.cmti; similar to the Wilbur Pickering New Testament notes at wpnt.bblx and wpnt.cmtx. Perhaps someone who understands the programming for both Apple and Microsoft could do a translation, and update everything in Bible Support to version 12.1.0; and bbli and cmti formats for all previously downloaded files.  Then programming bugs could be found and removed. (Olaf Bacon).

Thanks for the updates everyone. I corrected the version number and reuploaded the file so it should be working now. There is a link in the info to the source pdf.
