Now, just to be clear, despite the fact the title of this blog is "A Few of My Favorite Things," is a title of that song from the movie, "Mary Poppins," it really has nothing to do with the movie. Its a more of a tongue in cheek thing to list what I primarily like which sort of shows my personality, the eclectic kind of person I am. So here goes as to what my favorite things are:

The above list covers about half of my library, and I haven't even gotten into my taste in music which is also a part of the "A Few of My Favorite Things." That said, the reading part of it is what I totally enjoy, because, as you can see, its what I get the most of when it comes to know the splendour and majesty of God in Jesus Christ.
Other authors, such as Watchman Nee, A.W Tozer, and others, are works which has impacted my walk in Christ.
Other kinds of literature I enjoy are fiction, such as Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and etc. Sci-fi books I also find interesting.
Then there is music, and I'm not just talking about "contemporary" Christian Music, but also classical church music, such as Ave Verum Corpus (Mozart), Panis Angelicus, and etc. I get a real buzz singing in Latin (and this is coming from a Pentecostal Christian. You can't make this up, mate.) in tenor voice. Add to that, I get a real buzz of listening to Classical artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Jose Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti, and many more. Perhaps the voice that gets me the most, is that of Mario Lanza, who starred in the movie, The Great Caruso, in 1951, playing Caruso.
So, there we are.
Trust you enjoy this story, and are blessed by it.
