What We Believe about the WORD of GOD!

" The WORD of GOD is our sole source of FAITH and our absolute rule of conduct" Dr. Edwin Louis Cole

Our God is one, but manifested in three persons-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and is worthy of worship and obedience. He is good, righteous, light and without variableness or shadow of turning. The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning. The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal. - Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 3:21-22.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, shed His blood on the cross to pay the debt for our sins, was buried, bodily resurrected, ascended into heaven and is seated on the right hand of the Father, and will return literally, visibly, and personally in glory and power. We believe that we are seated together with Him and have the power of attorney to use His exalted name right now to continue to do the work of the Father while on the earth. As believers in Jesus Christ we have authority and power to move mountains and we believe in the power of the tongue. - Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1-3, 14; Philippians 2:5-9; Colossians 1:15.

We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives within every believer and empowers every believer to live a godly life. We believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life. - John 14:16-19; 16:7-15; Romans 8:9, 11; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct. We believe that God is as sovereign as His Word because he doesn’t do things contrary to what he has already spoken. We believe that God’s will is his Word, and in personal guidance by the spirit. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21.

It is God’s will that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. We believe that it is the church’s God-given responsibility to evangelize the world. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost. - Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8.

We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and the reality of the fact that we are now spiritually new creations in Christ. We are sons of God and joint heirs with Christ with an inheritance to receive by faith. - 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 2:8-10.

We believe in water baptism: Baptism in water is by immersion and is a direct commandment of our Lord, and it is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. We also believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as distinct from the new birth, in speaking with tongues as the spirit of god gives utterance, in the gifts of the spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the spirit. We believe that all of these are available to every believer to receive by faith. - 1 Corinthians 14:2-25; 1 Peter 3:18-22.

We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the redemption. That it is God’s will to heal everyone all the time that will believe and receive by faith. We believe that the church of the Lord Jesus has received redemption from the curse of spiritual death, sickness and disease, and poverty. - Mark 5:21-34; John 5:1-9.

We believe the church is the body of Christ and family of God. It is made up of saved and baptized believers, who regularly join together for worship, fellowship, and ministry. We believe in praise and worship of God in spirit and in truth with liberty to use instruments, lifting of hands, dance, clapping and singing. - Psalm 149:3; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Hebrews 10:25.

We believe in sowing and reaping, the giving of the tithe and the giving of offerings. - Malachi 3:10-12; 2 Corinthians 9:7-8.

We believe in the Christian’s hope, the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, and the soon coming return of the Lord Jesus Christ; literally, visibly, and personally in glory and power! - Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
