Ravening and Grievous Wolves: #1 or #2

By cbb1962, 06 October 2013 · 1,879 views

Denominations and Disciplines Dispensationalism
There are over 31,000 verses in the Bible, and over 38,000 different Christian denominations. More denominations than verses in the Bible - is result of the “Ravening Wolves” of Mat 7:15 and “Grievous Wolves” of Acts 20:29. That many denominations are only confusion and not of the LORD.

With that in mind, imagine this scene up in Heaven: Two very important individuals are pleading their case before the LORD:

Individual #1: Christians “are not under the Law of Moses” because they are saved - Grace covers all sins. They will worship on Sunday, they will eat what they want, and they will not follow any of the Biblical feasts. They will evangelize and build huge Churches. They will have special ministries and campaigns for the poor and needy. They will “Christianize” pagan festivals and sanctify them for the LORD.  The Jews missed their chance, if they can get over "their Law" they can be a Christian.

However, this argument requires definitions of words to change for Christians, hundreds of passages have to be ignored, the reason for the destruction of Israel to be ignored, the disciples, apostles and even some of Paul’s pro-law writings are in conflict with Paul’s no-law writings. Paul’s no-law writings become elevated in importance above most other scripture. Sacrifice, Sabbath, and the Biblical feasts that happen in the millennial kingdom must be ignored.  Ignoring the Law changes from wickedness to piousness, foolishness to wisdom.

Individual #2: Christians “should keep the Law of Moses.” Not to be saved, but to be obedient. When they aren't obedient - Grace covers their sin. They will keep the Sabbath, Eat clean foods, keep the Biblical feasts. Shun all pagan holidays and practices.  They will share their faith through their lives and actions, they will not have huge Churches. They will give directly with the widows, orphans and needy. They will provoke the non-believing Jews to jealousy, through the joy of keeping the Law of the LORD without any man-made rules that are burdensome.

This argument aligns with all of Scripture, definitions remain the same, Israel’s destruction is recognized, the disciples and apostles all agree when Paul’s writings are understood that “the Law” doesn't always mean “the law of Moses.” Paul’s no-law passages are talking about man-made laws. The pro-law passages are talking about the Law of Moses. Ignoring the Law is still for fools and the wicked, as it always has been.

The two individuals are Jesus and Satan. Who is #1 and who is #2?

Which doctrine would the ravening and grievous wolves want?  The one that would lead to 38,000 denominations and 1/3 of the world identifying as "Christian?"  Or the one that only has a remnant of believers that are rejected by both Jews (because of Jesus) and Christians (because of the Law)?

Rest assured these wolves aren't stupid...

1Jn_2:4  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Pro 28:9 If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable.

So in your opinion is  Individual #2 not be saved as reward for his/her faithfulness while he/she is also Christian?

That smells to rabbinical Judaism instead of Biblical Judaism. See Psalm 118

I think that the wolves likes both: the lawless part and the part of your never good enough to be saved by Christ(GOD).

What means a rejection of the mercy of Christ(GOD) while they calls themselves Christians.

The Branch is Christ and it is about the time of His Return as King of the Kingdom of God( the place for the saved).

Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch,
and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice upon the Earth.
Jer 23:6 In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell in safety:
and this is His Name by which He shall be called, JeHoVaH our Righteousness.

Luk 7:48 And He said to her,
    Thy sins are forgiven.
Luk 7:49 And they that sat at table with Him, began to say within themselves,
Who is this that forgives also sins?
Luk 7:50 And He said to the woman,
Thy faith has saved Thee; go in peace.

Joh 10:7
Then said Jesus to them again,
Amen, Amen I say to you,
I AM the Door of the sheep!
Joh 10:8 All that ever came before Me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9
I AM the Door: by Me if any man shall enter he shall be saved,
and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Have you been saved by faith or the law? Have you been made just and righteous by faith or the law? Does your salvation comes by your own works as a result of your obedience to the law, or does it come by grace through faith?

I was saved by faith.  BECAUSE I am saved - I follow the Law to be obedient, not for salvation.

1Jn 5:2-3 KJV  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.  (3)  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
